School Programs
At Kisa Revival Rehabilitation Centre (KRRC), we believe that effective recovery and prevention begin with strong communities and informed schools. Our outreach programs are designed to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and empower the people who play the biggest role in early intervention i.e. students, teachers, families, and local leaders.
School Sensitisation
We partner with primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions to educate learners and school staff about mental health and the dangers of alcohol and substance use.
Our school sensitisation program includes:
- Age-appropriate sessions on mental wellness, peer pressure, addiction, and healthy coping skills.
- Workshops for teachers on how to recognize behavioural changes, emotional distress, and early risk signs among students.
- Discussions aimed at reducing stigma and promoting help-seeking behaviours.
- Practical resources such as posters, guides, and educational materials that reinforce what students learn during the sessions
Building Awareness, Strengthening Families, Inspiring Recovery
Community Awareness Campaigns
Communities are often the first environment to notice behavioural changes or struggles. Our community programs aim to raise understanding, increase acceptance, and foster healthier societies.
Activities include:
- Community forums, outreach meetings, and public talks on mental health, addiction, and recovery.
- Sensitisation events in churches, mosques, markets, villages, and workplaces.
- Education on common myths and misconceptions that fuel stigma.
- Guidance on where and how community members can access treatment, support, or emergency help.
Family and Community Empowerment
Families and local groups play a major role in supporting individuals in recovery.
KRRC empowers them through:
- Training sessions for families on how to support loved ones struggling with addiction or mental illness.
- Community-based support groups that allow shared experiences, guidance, and encouragement.
- Education on healthy boundaries, relapse prevention, and ways to create stable home environments.
- Capacity building for community leaders and caregivers so they can respond appropriately to vulnerable individuals.
